If you don't have the clearance available for the recommended overhang on a Slide-Topper then you can indeed just go with a smaller size (keeping in mind that it may not give you full coverage). For your 156 inch box measurement the Solera 13' Slide-Topper in Black # LCV000165061 or White # LCV000163299 will work well as the slider itself is 156 inches wide. This matches your box width exactly so it should still cover most of your slide-out.

Ideally the gooseneck hitch ball gets centered right above the rear truck axle or sometimes up to a couple inches forward from that point. This puts the pin weight of the gooseneck trailer squarely on the rear suspension and doesn't allow it to unweight the front axle of the truck at all. view full answer...

Your seal thickness of .375 inch would be close enough to the thickness of the # GS-2125DL that you mentioned. As long as the other more important dimensions match up you are good. As far as picking out the correct grease cap the most reliable way to do this is based on the bore diameter of the hub where the grease cap installs. I'd recommend measuring that with a caliper like # PTW80157 to see what size you would need. You can let me know what size you have or you can check out the attached... view full answer...
